Our Story
Delhi Marathi Pratishthan is a registered trust — a socio-cultural and economic organisation for the Maharashtrians living in Delhi and the National Capital Region. What began as a handful of families wanting to hear their own language, music, and stories in a city far from home has grown into a community that gathers, celebrates, and looks out for one another across Delhi NCR.
We work to preserve the cultural heritage of Maharashtra through the festivals and events we organise through the year, and to build a cohesive platform for the cultural and economic growth of every Marathi organisation in the region.
"Every Diwali Pahat, every Wari, every evening of music — they're all the same promise kept: that Maharashtra is never too far away."
What We Stand For
Keeping the cultural heritage of Maharashtra alive through the events we organise across the year — from the dawn concert of Diwali Pahat to the dindi of Ashadhi Wari.
Bringing every Marathi organisation in Delhi NCR onto common ground, so that cultural and economic growth happens together, not in isolation.
Ten editions of the dawn concert that has become the community's fixed point in the year — the one morning everyone shows up for.
