Our Story
Delhi Marathi Pratishthan is a registered trust — a socio-cultural and economic organisation for the Maharashtrians living in Delhi and the National Capital Region. What began as a handful of families wanting to hear their own language, music, and stories in a city far from home has grown into a community that gathers, celebrates, and looks out for one another across Delhi NCR.
We work to preserve the cultural heritage of Maharashtra through the festivals and events we organise through the year, and to build a cohesive platform for the cultural and economic growth of every Marathi organisation in the region.

Delhi Marathi Pratishthan was founded with a simple yet powerful mission — to celebrate, preserve, and promote Marathi culture, art, music, literature, language, and cuisine, far away from the soil of Maharashtra. Living outside the state does not mean living away from our roots.
DMP is not just a binding factor bringing individual Maharashtrians together — it stands as a strength behind the many Marathi sanstha (organizations) spread across Delhi/NCR, working alongside them to unite efforts, amplify voices, and carry forward our shared culture with one collective purpose. For every Marathi heart in the capital, DMP aspires to be a true maherghar — a warm, welcoming home that nurtures belonging, pride, and togetherness.
Our journey reflects this spirit through initiatives close to our hearts: Sanketik Wari, bringing the devotion of Pandharpur's Wari to Delhi; Diwali Pahat, filling mornings with soulful music; Kshitij, a platform for creative, cultural, and professional dialogue; and the Delhi Marathi Film Festival, showcasing Marathi cinema to wider audiences.
Together, we continue building a connected, rooted, and thriving Marathi community — proud ambassadors of our heritage nationwide.

दिल्ली मराठी प्रतिष्ठानची स्थापना एका साध्या पण सशक्त ध्येयाने झाली आहे: महाराष्ट्राच्या मातीपासून दूर असतानाही मराठी संस्कृती, कला, संगीत, साहित्य, भाषा आणि खाद्यपरंपरेचा उत्सव साजरा करणे, तिचे जतन करणे आणि तिचा प्रसार करणे. राज्याबाहेर राहणे म्हणजे आपल्या मुळांपासून दूर जाणे नव्हे.
DMP ही केवळ व्यक्तिशः महाराष्ट्रीय बांधवांना एकत्र बांधणारी कडी नाही. दिल्ली/NCR मध्ये पसरलेल्या अनेक मराठी संस्थांच्या पाठीशी उभे राहणारे ते एक बळ आहे. या संस्थांसोबत प्रयत्न एकवटून, त्यांच्या आवाजाला बळ देऊन आणि एका समान उद्देशाने आपली सामायिक संस्कृती पुढे नेण्याचे काम DMP करते. राजधानीतील प्रत्येक मराठी मनासाठी DMP हे खऱ्या अर्थाने एक माहेरघर व्हावे, म्हणजे आपलेपणा, अभिमान आणि एकोपा जोपासणारे उबदार, स्वागतशील घर व्हावे, अशी आमची आकांक्षा आहे.
आमचा प्रवास याच भावनेचे प्रतिबिंब आहे आणि तो आमच्या हृदयाजवळच्या उपक्रमांतून उमटतो: सांकेतिक वारी, जी पंढरपूरच्या वारीची भक्ती दिल्लीत घेऊन येते; दिवाळी पहाट, जी सुरेल स्वरांनी सकाळ उजळून टाकते; क्षितिज, सर्जनशील, सांस्कृतिक आणि व्यावसायिक संवादासाठीचे व्यासपीठ; आणि दिल्ली मराठी चित्रपट महोत्सव, जो मराठी सिनेमा अधिक व्यापक प्रेक्षकांपर्यंत पोहोचवतो.
