Synopsis
Set in the Peshwa-era Maratha court, a celebrated Lavani dancer is challenged by a court scholar’s remark questioning the value of her art. Based on Babasaheb Purandare’s novel, Phulwanti is a grand period drama exploring art, dignity, and cultural identity.
